About the artist

Amadeo Gennarelli was an Italian sculptor, born in Napels. He was a pupil of Francesco Jerace. Around 1909, he moved to Paris, where he became part of a group of leading artists of his generation. From 1913 to 1936, he exhibited his work at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris. He worked with various materials such as marble, terracotta and bronze. He became known in the United Kingdom and United States after editor Alfred Dunhill bought several of his works.
