About the artist
Chris de Bruin (1870, Utrecht – 1940, Amsterdam) was a Dutch painter who usually worked in Amsterdam and Baarn. De Bruin was educated at the Rijksacademie van Beeldendende Kunsten (State Academy of Fine Arts) of Amsterdam. He mainly painted and drew landscapes, displaying influences of The Hague School.
