Ferdinand Piatnik was born on the 14th of October in 1819. He was an Austrian-Hungarian card painter and manufacturer.
He was born in Budapest and educated in Pressburg.
In 1843 he bought and Austrian card company from Anton Moser and made it into one of the most successful game manufacturing companies.
Piatnik married the widow of Anton Moser. His three sons entered his company.
He died in 1885 at Bad Vöslau.
