Haatje Peters Oosterhuis was born in Tolbert (Leek) in 1784. He was baptized on the 28th of November 1784.
He was a Dutch illustrator, painter and art teacher. He started working in 1799 until 1854.
Oosterhuis was educated at the Minerva Academy in Groningen.
In 1815 Oosterhuis was working in 1815 and after 1815 he worked in Amsterdam.
His subjects included historical genres, landscapes, portraits, city views, genre representations and winter landscapes.
He died in Amsterdam on the 14th of December in 1854.
