About the artist

Konstantin Aleksandrovich Prokhorov was born in Karavaevi, Vladimir region in 1924. Studied at various art colleges, the last at the Simferopol Art College from 1946-1948. Was active in Simferopol. Moved to the Moscow region. Important shows include 'All-Union Art Exhibition' in Moscow 1955. (Also see Dictionary Matthew Bown; page 250).

Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1960). People's Artist of Russia (2011).
