French, 19th – 20th century, female. Born in 1885, in Algiers; died 1961. Lucienne Capdevielle was a student of Georges Rochegrosse, Léon Cauvy and Paul Albert Laurens at the prestigious École nationale superérieure des beaux-arts. She was a member of the Société du Salon des Artistes Français and received an honorable mention in 1925. She also showed work in the Salon des Artistes Indépendants.
