About the artist

“Making art is a wonderful lifelong process.”

Marlies Geldof makes chic, round wall objects with synthetic resin where high gloss, rough structures, gold and earth/aquatints alternate.

Marlies Geldof finds the inspiration for her wall objects with synthetic resin in nature. Examples are the cosmos, the flowing water and cracked earth in dried-up river beds.

The structures in the objects are often created experimentally. The aim is to create a nicely varied variation in the surface structures. Geometric shapes are there to bring order to this. The contrasts make Marlies Geldof's work exciting.

Marlies Geldof prefers earth tones, blues and greens in the beautiful round and also organically shaped objects. The synthetic resin, acrylic paint and texture mediums are the ingredients. The perfect finish with metal provides a chic finishing touch.

The special wall objects with synthetic resin are absolutely an eye catcher in your interior!
