The Iranian visual artist Shirin Neshat lives and works in New York City. Her films, video and photography centers on the contrasts between Islam and the West. With focus on the ambiguity of boundaries between man and woman, between sacred and profane, between reality and magic and bridging the spaces between these subjects.
