About the artist
Suzan Visser (Maarsbergen, 1967) comes from an artistic family, both her grandfather and two brothers of her grandmother were painters and her father is a sculptor. In this way her creativity was stimulated from an early age.
She studied at the Utrecht School of the Arts, before continuing her studies at the Faculty of Educational Studies in the fields of drawing and biology.
The profession of artist attracted her more than teaching, which initially ended up in illustrating biology books. This led to her first paintings in which both animals and people play the leading role. In the course of time she developed her own style in which reality is transformed into a fantastic world.
Since 2004, Suzan has also focused on making sculptures in bronze.
