19de eeuwse tekening met Oostindische inkt en waterverf door een anonieme kunstenaar. Afm, 19 x 24 cm. De vlinders zouden kunnen zijn, o.a. vergeef de beperkingen van de auteur, die met zeer bescheiden kennis over vlinders te werk is gegaan, als stadskind kom je helaas maar weinig met vlinders in aanraking : de Watererebia (Erebia Pronoe), de Grote ijsvogelvlinder (Limenitis Populi), het Boomblauwtje (Celastrina argiolus), de Geelvlekbergerebia (Erebia Manto), het Landkaartje (Arachina Levana) en de Bergerebia (Erebia Epiphron). Na meters encyclopedieEn kan worden geconcludeerd dat de tekenaar in een bos moet hebben gestaan in een bergachtige omgeving. De meeste van de afgebeelde vlinders lijken tegenwoordig nog in Centraal-, Zuid- en Oost-Europa voor te komen, maar dat zegt weinig over de situatie in de 19de eeuw. Afgezien van de bergachtige omgeving, kan toen ook de Haarlemmerhout voor het veldwerk hebben gefungeerd. Prijs: Euro1.250,- (incl. lijst)
