21 x 35 cm. - About the artistWilhelmus Josephus (Willem) Hasselt was a Dutch painter and draftsman. He was born in Rotterdam in 1882 and went to the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam. He was active as a painter from 1897 on in the Netherlands, France and England, until his death in 1963 in Nogent-sur-Marne, France. He was a member of the Pulchri Studio The Hague. He painted landscapes, street scenes, harbour views, interiors, still lives and portraits.
