- About the artist
Georges Cuyvers was born in 1951 in Beverlo, Belgium. He still resides and works in Belgium, in Antwerp.
Georges Cuyvers studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Art in Antwerp from 1970-1976 where he graduated as a jewellery designer, goldsmith and silversmith. From 1973 Cuyvers was learning from PIET HEY pvba in Antwerp as a designer of piece unique jewels.
He has had many exhibitions including Basel, Paris, Geneva and London between the late 19702 and early 1980s.
Today, Cuyvers still works as an independent designer, goldsmith and silversmith and teaches as a professor in design, gold – and silversmithing at the Royal Academy of Fine Art.
