The Chinese artist Zhang Xiang Ming is universally acclaimed. This young talented painter showed himself to be a promising artist during his training, and once he established himself as an independent painter collectors and art dealers at home and abroad beat a path to his door. This 40 year old artist has a great work ethic; with the commitment which characterises the very greatest, he works on several works simultaneously every day. By now the whole world is familiar with his theme: women’s faces. Preferably as ‘close’ as possible. As cute as pin-ups, but according to the artist sometimes very ‘dangerous’.
Zhang Xiang Ming is the master in this genre. His portraits of women, usually Beijing Girls, look like candy. Gentle pink tones, red painted lips, sometimes expressionless and sometimes with a small mysterious smile. And always with a captivating beauty and painted with great perfection.
