In "Biker Boys," part of the "WRAPPED" exhibition curated by NOCK NOCK art at art'otel Amsterdam, Fhatuwani Mukheli paints two brothers sharing a single bike - one pedaling with steady focus, the other balanced behind, holding on. Orange branches unfold behind them, their leaves reaching outward like something still growing. It belongs to a body of work that reflects on Black family life in the South African townships that raised the artist, where two people on one bike meant the whole road belonged to them.
