- About the artistNatasja van der Meer is a Dutch contemporary sculptor who studied at the Nieuwe Akademie in Utrecht. She works with a wide range of materials with which she creates iconic images and extremely enlarged objects. A common theme in her work, childhood, is derived from her interest in the innocent way children perceive the world. She currently often uses beads as the main material for her works byhanging a large number of them in a box and thus creating form and a sculpture. Her work has been featured at multiple exhibitions such as in the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag.
