Riky van Lint is a Dutch sculptor, born in 1935. She only started his sculpting practices in a later stage of his life, but this is no indication of the quality of her depictions. Her figures can be recognized through their stylized, elongated shapes: both men and women stand proudly on their pedestals, as if softly being elevated through elegance.
The use of idealist shapes seems to create an art deco-like distance upon viewing the sculptures, in contrast by use of heavy emotions, through which they exhume a certain warmth. Riky tells her story in a very clear way, and translates human emotions in an appealing and equally clear manner.
