Tanja Engelberts (1987) lives and works in The Hague. She graduated from a master ﬁne arts at Chelsea College of Art & Design in 2013 after studying sculpture and monumental arts in both the Netherlands and Japan. She is a photographer combining various materials and techniques, including collages, scale models, printing techniques and sculpture. These tools are used to create a spatial experience, challenging the viewer to walk around and experience materiality. At the core of her artistic practice is the perception of landscape through photography and materiality. She is always looking for ways to display the experience of a landscape and the many layers like history, economics and culture. Her work has been shown in several cities in the Netherlands and abroad, among others the Hague (Holland), Amsterdam, London (UK) and Tokyo (Japan).
