Creating suggestion and illusion with paint is fascinating. By emphasizing only the essence while painting and being sparing, there is room for the viewer and for myself to interpret.
I make the most important decisions before I put the paint on the canvas. And by not correcting too much, I hope to create something direct and 'imperfect' with a convincing effect.
In addition to my belief that classical values are essential in art, I like to experiment with form, color and light. The combination of classical education and a sense of freedom gives me the opportunity to create what I want.
My love goes out to abstracted images, strong light and a loose touch.
