About the artist
Brooke Shaden was born in March 1987, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, US. She studied filmmaking and the English language in college. After graduating with bachelors in each, she began pursuing photography. She channels a love for storytelling and creates atmospheric and other-worldly portraits, both of herself and of others.

Nowadays her images have been presented with a number of fine art and conceptual awards, and she has held numerous solo and group exhibitions with gallery representation.

Brooke is a writer as well. She currently runs a popular blog called Promoting Passion and published Inspiration in Photography with Focal Press. She also runs yearly events, workshops and lectures, and works as a motivational speaker.
