  • About the artist

    Willem van der Hofstede is a Dutch photographer and painter. He went to the Vrije Academie, Amsterdam and the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten, The Hague where he graduated in 1995. The theme of his work is the city as a dynamic, continuously changing entity. Most of the time, his direct environment is the starting point. His paintings are created based on the photographs he makes and edits on his computer.
