Andrea Torres Balaguer is a 24-year-old photographer. She lives in Barcelona, where she graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. She creates surreal images. Her work is about dreams, surrealism and mystery, experimenting with the boundaries between reality and fiction, the conscious and unconscious. Balaguer works with the dream transcription technique. Thinking about the scene-action concept, she creates pictures that suggest stories and invites the spectator to interpret them. She is inspired by the photographers Duane Michals and Annie Leibovitz. Balaguer has won the first award of Artevistas New Talents and has exhibited her work through Europe.
