Wouter van Buuren was born in 1972 in the Netherlands, he currently lives and works in Amsterdam. After studying at the De Vrije Academie in The Hague between 2000 and 2002, Van Buuren went to the Amsterdam Centre of Photography, where he graduated in 2005. Van Buuren climbs cranes, bridges and skyscrapers to photograph the view from above. Thereafter, he meticulously arranges the photographs in order to merge them into one huge landscape, giving a spherical effect. He doesn’t use any sort of digital manipulation. Van Buuren captured the incredible photos in various locations across the Netherlands, China, and the USA. He has had many exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad, including Amsterdam, Miami, New York, Munich, Rotterdam.
