  • About the artist

    Astrid Huisman Biemans (1959) is a contemporary artist who lives and works in Helmond. She went to the Academie voor Beeldende Vormgeving in Tilburg. Next, she specialised in painting and sculpture at the Academie voor Schone Kunsten. Inspired by people, Biemans creates sculptures of figures with long legs. Her abstract and figurative paintings are characterised by warm and bold colours. She also creates portraits.
