About the Artist
Sarah Mei Herman (1980) is a photographer, who lives and works in Amsterdam. She attended a Masterclass by Alessandra Sanguinetti in 2007. From 2001 to 2005, she trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, The Hague, where she received her Bachelor Photography, and she took courses for three months at Edinburgh College of Art in 2004. In 2010, she graduated from the Royal College of Art in London. (She studied Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam for one year, 1999-2000.) Sara Mei had several solo shows: 2010, A Wordless Whisper, Soledad Senlle Gallery, Amsterdam; 2014, Un Peu, Beaucoup… La Vie! Le Chateau d’Eau, Toulouse, France; 2014, Screen Touch, Chinese European Art Center, CEAC, Xiamen, China. She also had numerous group exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad. She was given a Grant by the Mondriaan Fonds, Amsterdam, in 2013, 2014 and in 2017.
