- About the artworkGiovanni Ottaviani (1735-1808): two copper engravings of portal lunettes from the loggia of Raphael in the Vatican.
These engravings by Ottaviani after drawings by Gaetano Savorelli and Pietro Camporesi were issued in 1776 and have a very fine ancient coloring.
Dimensions with frame: 62 x 93 cm. - About the artistGiovanni Ottaviana was a professional copperplate engraver from Rome. Very little is known about the artist’s life but several of his works are held in important collections worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
