Jacob Dooijewaard was a Dutch painter and draftsman. He painted genre scenes, cityscapes, winter scenes, portraits and still lifes.
He got awarded the Willink van Collenprijs in 1903. Dooijewaard was a member of multiple artist association; Arti et Amicitiae and Kunstenaarsvereniging Sint Lucas in Amsterdam, Pulchri Studio in The Hague, and the Gooische Schildersvereniging.
He was friends with William and Anna Singer and his work is to be found there as well as in the Stedelijk Museum, which dedicated an exhibition to his work.
Dooijewaard was Officer in the Order of Oranje-Nassau and an honorary member of the American International Academy of Art.
