- About the artistWijnand Bastiaan van Horssen was a Dutch painter from Rijswijk who was born in 1863. He studied at the Academy of the Hague under the supervision of Tony Offermans. Later in his life, Wijnand became a teacher at the art academy in the Hague. His body of work primarily consists of landscapes and still-lifes. He died in 1931 at age 68.
