Eric L. Hansen is a contemporary photographer, born in Staten Island, New York. He currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee. At the age of ten, he received a film camera from his grandmother. Since then, he never stopped making pictures. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Newark College. There, he also studied studio art, theatre and creative writing. He photographs desolated interiors, horses, nudes, cities, people, which are digitally edited afterwards. Eric L. Hansen’s work has been featured in the Lucy award-winning journal Eyemazing and published in the Connecticut Review. His work can be found in various public collections among others, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art, Smithsonian Museum of American Art, Museum of Photographic Art, Museum of Photographic Art.
