  • About the artwork
    Sarah's works are like a diary, documenting intimate moments of her life. Since the photographic documentation of these encounters are the origin of her artworks, she decided to use that date to document the chronology of her life. In addition, the titles contain the names of the people with whom she shared that specific moment.
  • About the artist

    Sarah Gold, born in 1978 in the Netherlands, is a Dutch artist. After studying Art History at the Heidelberg University in Germany, she earned her Master’s degree in Art History at the University of Leiden in 2004. 

    Gold worked as Assistant Curator for the Caldic Collection in Rotterdam and gained experience as an independent curator and author. 

    She published books and created Art Projects, in cooperation with a.o. Yoko Ono, Lawrence Weiner, Hermann Nitsch and Arnulf Rainer. Since 2005 she organized several symposia and exhibitions in a.o. Amsterdam, New York and Tokyo and has been part of La Biennale di Venezia in Italy. From 2015 until today, Gold is concentrating solely on creating her own works of art.
