- About the artistAlfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville was a famous French still-life and animal artist. Schooled in Paris, he mainly dedicated his work to cats and eventually turning to painting still-lives as he aged. He started exposing his work at the Societe des artistes Francais in 1879. His paintings are realist and sentimental. His works can be seen in multiple museums all over France.
