- About the artworkArt nouveau heavy christal vase made by Fritz Heckert glasworks. The straight almost abstract styly of the graphic artist Ludwig Sutterlin is very avantgarde for the time. The motiv is ennamelled and the lines aroud it are deeply engraved in the christal to make the lines even more tight.
- About the artistLudwig Sütterlin was a German graphic artist, writer and pedagogue from Lahr, Germany. Sütterlin studied at the 'Unterrichtsanstalt des Kunstgewerbemuseums' or the Academy of Applied Arts in Berlin. He would later teach at the Crafts School in Berlin.
