My oh my, this year has flown by! Let’s take a look back at some of our magazine highlights of 2017...

In January, Margitte Verwoerdt (of Bonhams) talked to us about the art of stuffed animals:

Maurizio Cattelan, Untitled, 2007, two stuffed labradors and a chick, Monnaie de Paris.

In Febuary, we spoke to the photographer who was there in that hotel room with John Lennon and Yoko Ono (and lost the negatives):

Nico Koster, John and Yoko, Breakfast Amsterdam Hilton Hotel, 30 x 35 cm.

In March, you read about this trend that’s unifying the art world:

The eclectic interior of Malene Birger's London home, photograph by Birgitta Wolfgang and Pernille West, courtesty of Residence Magazine.

In April, we took a crack at explaining the sparkly history of the fabergé egg:

Fabergé Eggs.

In May, one of our colleagues payed a visit to an authentic clockmaker:

Joost Jongerius working on a restoration project.

In June, Bert Kuipers sent us this intriguing story about a forgotten artist:

A series of works by Emile Circkens (1924-1997).

In July, our founder visited this amazing museum in France:

Museum La Piscine in Roubaix, France.

In August, this famous Chinese artist had his first exhibition in the Netherlands:

Shen Wei, Cherry Blossoms, C-Print, 76 x 114 cm.

In September, we revealed the mesmerizing art of glassmaking to you:

Mosaic ceiling of the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona.

In October, we sat down with a renowned art dealer to talk about the business of being an entrepreneur in the art world:

Dr. Lennart Booij.

In November, we introduced you to the pleasures of a silent companion:

Details of a dummy board at Robert Schreuder Antiquair.

And in December we launched ArtStories, a new weekly column that features three unique objects from the Gallerease collection:

We look back at a fantastic year and hope that you enjoyed learning about everything from stuffed animals to glass-blowing to dummy boards as much as we did. Make sure to tune back in in 2018, as we have lots more in store for you!

The Gallerease team wishes you a happy and healthy new year!
