In the kingdom of gemstones, diamonds are the most brilliant of them all

A diamond speaks not only of glamour and blending dazzle appeal; the hardness and its high dispersion of light give the diamond a characteristic fire. They are also incredibly rare. Did you know there are more Picasso paintings in the world than there are coloured diamonds?

In diamond economics: rarity equals value. To determine rarity it comes down to the four characteristics, the 4 Cs. Cut, Carat weight, Clarity and Colour (possible 5th C: certification). Cut is the one that’s really the most critical of them all, that can make the diamond special.

Elegance never goes out of style

This magnificent Demi Parure Carnelian is the epitome of timeless elegance. The 14k gold collier and bracelet are pieces that hold both meaning and beauty. Art Nouveau tiepin with woman’s head, 18k yellow gold, green, blue and orange enamel, head 1,5 cm., 5 gr., France circa 1890.

Forgotten but worth to remember

Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, however they get along with men quite nicely as well. This beautiful woman makes a man fall in love with this often forgotten piece of jewellery. The tiepin has the ability to upgrade your look significantly. The small and simple man accessory can add sophistication to any suit and tie combination. The origin of the tiepin dates from the early 1800s and was used to secure the folds of a cravat. Thus, apart from its subtle addition to your look, it is also very practical to keep your tie in the right place during the Christmas dinner. This Art Nouveau tiepin, decorated with an ornament of a woman’s head, is unique in its kind (1890). The 18k yellow gold little head (1.5cm) is beautifully crafted and inlaid with green, blue and orange enamel.
