Signed lower right - Sobre el artistaAlbert Charles Auguste Plasschaert, seudónimo de A. Pelgrym, fue un artista de vidrieras, pintor, crítico de arte y poeta holandés. Nació en Sas van Gent el 20 de abril de 1874, murió en La Haya el 9 de mayo de 1941. Plasschaert fue a la Escuela Politécnica de Delft y también estudió Derecho en la Universidad de Leiden durante un tiempo. Durante sus años de estudiante, fue director de la revista literaria y de arte De Tuin. Resultó ser uno de los críticos de arte más formidables de Holanda. Publicó sus críticas en los periódicos Het Vaderland y en De Groene Amsterdammer. También escribió para revistas como The Art, The Voice y The New Guide. Entre sus prestigiosos encargos se encuentran los diseños de vidrieras para la Real Fábrica de Vidrio Holandesa J.J.B.J. Bouvy en Dordrecht. Fue enterrado en el Cementerio General de su ciudad natal de Rijswijk.
