Sweet and rare Art Nouveau vase made of enamel on copper with a decoration of cornflowers. Between the cornflowers are a few glass insects fixed on the enamel, a ladybug and a beetle. The quality is beautiful, real applied art. This vase was exhibited at one of the Paris Salons between 1895 and 1904. The vase is signed on the side with "Georges-Jean" and on the bottom with "Les Essarts-le-Roi".

Nacido en Versalles, Jean Georges estuvo activo en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX. También firmó su trabajo con Georges-Jean. Trabajó para Les-Essarts-le-Roi, entre otros. También ha expuesto sus trabajos en esmalte varias veces en los Salones de París y la Exposición Mundial de 1900. Sus esmaltes se pueden encontrar en varios museos, entre ellos el Berliner Kunstgewerbemuseum y el Musée Petit Palais de París.
