About the artist
Aram Khalafyan, known artistically as Aramzes, is an Armenian photographer based in Utrecht, Netherlands. Having spent his childhood in Russia and Armenia and later embracing the international experience of youth in the Netherlands, Aram brings a uniquely multicultural perspective to his art.
On the path of experimentation and a refusal to confine himself to traditional forms, Aram discovered his love for photography and film at the age of 17. This journey of visual storytelling has led him to become a proficient landscape and fine art photographer, while also excelling in product photography and portraiture professionally.
Aram’s work serves as a heartfelt tribute and a love letter to the imperfect beauty of the world, revealing the delicate harmony between flaws and perfection. His images seek hidden beauty in the depths of the unsightly and plain.
At Naarden The Art Fair 2025, Aram invites you to see the world through his lens—a lens shaped by a lifetime of movement, curiosity, and the relentless pursuit of beauty. For Aram, photography is not just an art form, but a way of seeing, feeling, and connecting with the universe, and with his own feelings and place in this world.
