Charles Hubertus Maria (Charles H.M.) Vos (1888–1954) was a Dutch sculptor and monumental artist who left his mark primarily in Limburg. Born in Maastricht, he trained at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. He was part of a generation of artists firmly rooted in the Catholic tradition and who built a bridge between craftsmanship, religious art, and monumental commissions for public spaces.

Vos became particularly known for his religious sculptures, often made of natural stone or bronze. He frequently worked on commissions from churches, monasteries, and government agencies. His style combined realistic forms with a sober, solemn monumentality that resonated with the devotion and symbolism of the Catholic Church. Numerous works by him can be found in Maastricht and the surrounding area, such as statues of saints, Stations of the Cross, and monuments. His sculptures are often expressive yet restrained, with a strong emphasis on spirituality and human dignity.

One of his best-known works is the series of Saint Servatius Bridge sculptures in Maastricht, as well as various war and liberation monuments in Limburg. He also worked on interior decorations and collaborated with architects on the embellishment of church buildings. His oeuvre reflects the revival of religious art in the Netherlands in the first half of the twentieth century, in which Vos was an important regional voice.

Charles H.M. Vos remained active as a sculptor until his death in 1954. His work remains part of the Limburg and Dutch cultural heritage and testifies to an artist who managed to combine tradition and craftsmanship with monumental power and religious inspiration.
