About the artist
Léo Laporte-Blairsy (1865-1923) was a French sculptor and medalist of Art Nouveau style. Originally from Toulouse, Laporte-Blairsy was a student of Alexandre Falguière and Antonin Mercié. He had been a member of the Salon of the French Artists since 1897. He received a third class medal in 1894, a second class in 1898.
