About the artist
Manon is a Dutch visual artist specializing in figurative sculptures featuring animals. Born with artistic genes from both family lines, she developed a strong affinity for form and material from an early age.
In 2015, she studied Sculpture and Spatial Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arendonk, where she further refined her artistic signature. Her work is characterized by a distinct attention to anatomy, skin, and texture. Manon prefers to study her subjects in their natural environment. Observation of posture, movement, and character is an essential part of her working process. This approach results in sculptures that are both lifelike and tranquil, with a strong emotional presence.
What distinguishes her work is the exceptional refinement with which she depicts skin and fur. The sculptures possess a tangible softness and a subtle vibrancy, creating a direct connection with the viewer. Manon crafts her sculptures from clay or wax; the final sculptures are cast in bronze.
