Davide Heijmans (1995) is a Dutch fine art and portrait photographer based in Amsterdam, known for her serene, emotionally charged visual language. In her work, she explores the boundary between intimacy and distance, creating powerful portraits with minimal means—often in black and white—that invite the viewer to linger.

Her photography is characterized by a strong sense of light and composition. Heijmans uses contrast and shadow not only as visual elements but also as narrative tools: they suggest what is not immediately visible and give her images a timeless, almost cinematic quality. Instead of superficial representation, she focuses on the essence of her subject—a glance, an attitude, a moment of vulnerability.

In addition to her autonomous work, Heijmans is the founder of Portrait Factory, a studio specializing in lifestyle and business photography. Here, she translates her artistic signature into a more applied context, helping professionals and brands position themselves visually powerfully and authentically. Her approach remains consistent throughout: personal, attentive, and focused on revealing character. Heijmans moves effortlessly between the art world and commercial assignments, without compromising her aesthetic. Her work appeals to a broad audience but always retains a certain restraint and depth – a combination that makes her a distinctive voice within contemporary Dutch photography.
