Technique The rose cuts are set on foil. This is a special technique that was used to bring the lustre of the diamonds to its best quality.
Extra information The setting holding the large pear-shaped stone, as well as the stone itself, seem to date from the early 19th century or possibly even earlier. The brooch as a whole, however, was made after 1952, possibly using older components.
