This extrodinary bowl is blown in partly transparent orange and blue glass and is made by Muller Frères from Lunéville, France. Muller Frères has produced a series of glass objects where silver inclusions in the glass have been added, this addition of silver gives a very special effect in the glass. This bowl is an excellent example of this execution. The bowl stands on a round dark brown foot of and has a free-form upper rim of orange and blue glass.

The bowl is signed "Muller Fres Luneville".

Muller Frères erano produttori di vetro francesi con sede a Lunéville, in Francia. La loro attività durò dal 1895 al 1933. Erano rinomati per la produzione di oggetti in vetro art nouveau come vasi e paralumi. La famiglia Muller era originaria dell'Alsazia. Alcuni membri della famiglia hanno lavorato insieme a Émile Gallé prima di avviare un'attività in proprio. Muller Freres, francese per Muller Brothers, ha realizzato cammei e altri vetri dal 1895 al 1933. La loro fabbrica si trovava prima a Luneville, poi nella vicina Croismare, in Francia.
