Johann Christian Clodius

Johann Christian Clodius (1676 – 1745, Leipzig) became the first professor of Arabic at Leipzig; moreover he was a Hebraist. He wrote among others an important and voluminous Germanicum in Leipzig in 1730. This work also contains Clodius’ Turkish grammar.
