Shahram Karimi

Shahram Karimi is an Iranian artist who was born in Shiraz in 1957. He currently lives and works in New York and Cologne. He is a self-taught artist who has been successful both in his native country and in the West. Karimi has had various exhibitions, such as the Leila Heller Gallery in Chelsea. A mixed media artist, he is specialised in painting, drawings, collages, set designs, video and poetry. Shahram Karimi has been the production designer for American cineaste Shoja Azari in several productions, like film “K” (2002) and “Windows”.
