- Sobre el artistaGeorg Rueter (1875, Haarlem - 1966, Amsterdam), nombre completo Wilhelm Christian Georg Rueter, fue un escultor holandés (bronce), grabador, litógrafo, leñador, pintor, pintor de vidrio, diseñador. Después de estudiar dibujo durante cuatro años, recibió un Certificado de Profesor de Dibujo en 1894. De 1894 a 1896 estudió con August Allebé en la Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten (Academia Estatal de Bellas Artes), Amsterdam. Entre 1921 y 1940 fue profesor (lector) en esta academia. El famoso dibujante e ilustrador Johan Herman Isings fue uno de sus alumnos. Georg Rueter estaba casado con Gerarda Lang. Vivió y trabajó en Haarlem, Sloten, Sloterdijk y Amsterdam. Rueter creó entre otros paisajes, paisajes urbanos, retratos, autorretratos, animales, diseños de libros, decoraciones de libros, ex-libris. Fue honrado con una Medalla de Plata de Amsterdam en 1963, y en 1923 la Reina Guillermina le otorgó una Medalla Real. Fue miembro de Arti et Amicitiae, Amsterdam y Saint Lucas, Amsterdam.
