  Glass for grapes manufactured by Orivit-Metall from Cologne, Germany. It is a molded pewter and silver-plated mount with an glass insert with etched grape motifs. The trunk of the etched grape motifs, which consists of two vertical lines, runs through the center of the metal stylized frame. The frame has a beautiful silver patina and the glass has no chips or fleabites. This model was produced from 1906 to 1910.

  La marque ORIVIT a été déposée en 1898 par Ferdinand Hubert Schmitz (* 31 octobre 1863 à Minden, † 15 mai 1939 à Bonn), qui a repris en 1894 la "Rheinische Bronze- und Metallwarenfabrik Johann Heinrich Welke" à Bedburg, qui avait été renommé plusieurs fois.

  Les premiers produits ont été présentés à l'exposition de Noël au Kunstgewerbemuseum de Munich, suivis de la participation à l'Exposition universelle de Paris en 1900, où l'entreprise a remporté une médaille d'or. Il a reçu d'autres récompenses en 1902 à l'Exposition industrielle et commerciale de Düsseldorf et en 1904 à la Louisiana Purchase Exposition.

  En 1903, une nouvelle usine est construite à Cologne-Ehrenfeld. Après la reprise d'Orivit AG par la Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik, Heinrich Alle, soutenu à un poste par Georg Friedrich Schmitt à partir de 1906, prend la direction en 1905. Dans le même temps, l'usine de produits métalliques d'art et d'artisanat "Orion" a été transférée à Orivit AG. Pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, la production d'artisanat a été interrompue et a repris en 1918 jusqu'à ce que les opérations soient complètement arrêtées en 1926.
