Leo Roth (1914-2002) In 1920, Roth moved to Germany and, in 1933, immigrated to Palestine. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and completed frescoes in Italy and France in the 1950s. Roth settled in Tel Aviv, He served as Director of the Art Academy of the Kibbutzim. In 1959, he was awarded the Jordan Valley Prize for Painting. Roth exhibited in the United States, Israel, Mexico, Spain, Holland, Sweden, and Denmark. He died in 2002.

Roth's work was influenced by Cubism and Chagall. His colorful canvases contain biblical imagery and references to early Israeli pioneer culture.

Leo Roth (Pologne, 1914 - Israël, 2002) était un peintre israélien fortement influencé par le cubisme.
Il est né en Pologne en 1914. En 1920, il s'installe en Allemagne et en 1933, il émigre en Israël où il vit d'abord à Tel-Aviv. Puis il a déménagé au Kibboutz Kinneret. Finalement, il a déménagé au kibboutz Afikim où il est resté jusqu'à sa mort.
Il a étudié l'art à l'École des beaux-arts de Paris. En Israël, il a été directeur de l'Académie d'art des kibboutzim. En 1959, il remporte le prix de la vallée du Jordaan pour sa peinture.
Ses peintures ont été exposées en Israël, aux Pays-Bas, au Mexique, en Espagne, en Suède et au Danemark.
