Viktor Vasilievich Iskam was born in 1927 in Staraya Poltavka, the Stalingrad region (Russia). He studied at the Odessa Art College and the Repin Institute. Until 1964 Iskam was active in Simferopol and Kiev, Ukraine. He began exhibiting in 1955 and also worked as a graphic artist. Specialized in landscapes and still-lifes.
