Inspired by nature in all its diversity, Madeleine van der Knoop makes bronze sculptures of human and animal figures. Her fascination for the great variety of animal forms and behavior arose already in her youth, and she captures the essence of this in her work.

Her creations show in powerful forms and colorful patinas the result of her sharp observations. At an early age, she chose to work with bronze. Her experience with this material, combined with a finely developed spatial insight, forms the basis for the freedom she is able to display in her work.

She works with the Christallerie DAUM, has repeatedly been awarded prizes and exhibits in France and abroad. Works by Van der Knoop are included in the collections of art collectors all over the world.
