    "Still life with apples and jug with green algae" is a painting where the style of this painter is very well expressed.     Jan Teunissen (1949) a grandi à Zeelst, près d'Eindhoven. Jan vit et travaille actuellement à Best, à proximité. En grande partie en autodidacte, il est devenu compétent dans le métier de la peinture réaliste.

    Les peintures à l'huile de Jan se caractérisent par un très haut niveau de réalité. Ce sont souvent des natures mortes dans une atmosphère de clair obscur. La lumière et l'ombre jouent un rôle important. De plus, il peint des objets presque exactement aussi grands qu'ils le sont réellement. Ce sont souvent des objets du quotidien, de notre propre jardin. Dans ses peintures, il se concentre sur les moindres détails et reflets. Cet amour et cette attention se reflètent clairement dans son travail.
